This is the easiest recipe to throw together on a busy evening. Make your sauce the night before, have your salmon cleaned and ready to go, get your Air Fryer out and in less than 15 minutes, supper is on the table. Toss a quick salad, boil and mash some potatoes with a veggie on the side, serve over some brown rice and supper is served!

I LOVE my Air Fryer! I love have convenient it is, I love how I don’t have to turn on my oven and wait for it to heat up, and I love how it cooks everything quicker than the oven! Salmon cooks in 10 minutes! 10 MINUTES!! It gets that golden crisp on the outside, the little crispy ends are my favorite, and the inside of the salmon stays nice and flaky. You can leave the skin on if you wish and it will get crispy as well…or haul the skin off and cook it by itself in the air fryer to make crispy salmon skin!!! If you love salmon skin, TRY THIS!!!

The salmon is cooked in the Air Fryer with just some oil, salt and pepper. The sauce is added once it’s cooked. Let’s talk about this sauce!! OMG!! Sweet, sticky, spicy, just a hint of heat, but you can add more red pepper flakes if you want more heat! This is also delicious on deep fried calamari, over breaded chicken, drizzle over avocado with some flaky salt, DROOL!!! (I use NEWFOUNDLAND SEA SALT)

Ok, just MAKE IT already! YOU WILL LOVE IT!! Let’s get Cooking!
NOTE: I have a Ninja Foodi Smart Grill and I used the GRILL Setting for cooking my salmon. Look at your instructions for your air fryer for cooking temperature and times.
Air Fryer Spicy Salmon
INGREDIENTS
- 4 salmon fillets, drizzled with oil and seasoned with salt and pepper
Spicy Sauce
- 1/2 cup honey
- 3 tsp tabasco sauce
- 1/2 tsp red pepper flakes
PREPARATION
I used a Ninja Foodie Smart Grill and used the Grill setting to cook my salmon. Select Grill, set to MAX, set for 7 minutes and preheat.
Dry Salmon, drizzle with oil (I used avocado oil) and season with salt and pepper. Once preheated, spray inside with nonstick spray and add salmon fillets.
Cook for 7 minutes (you don’t need to flip them) and check to see if your salmon is cooked through. It will be flaky in the middle and it will depend on the size of your fillets. Add a couple more minutes if needed to cook through. Keep an eye on them as you don’t want to overcook your salmon.
Remove from Air Fryer and serve with the sauce! Add as much or as little sauce as you want! I LOVE this sauce! If you are serving people who are not fond of a bit of heat, just drizzle with a little plain honey.
Any extra sauce can be kept for up to a month but it won’t last that long!!
NOTE: If you don’t have an Air Fryer, you can just pan fry your salmon and then serve it with your sauce.
ENJOY!
Hey Donna, i’ll be investing in an air fryer soon and i’ll be sure to try this recipe… looks great! Thanks.
