Flaky, chewy, gooey, chocolatey yumminess! That is the recipe I’m sharing with you today!!
We had some friends coming over this weekend for super and I wanted to make a super easy dessert with ingredients I already had on hand. So I started looking through my “Sweets” folder, I have a magazine holder, with named folders for recipes that I want to make.
Yes, I am a type A personality so I am super organized! Please don’t hold that against me!! I also have more cookbooks and recipes than I could ever make in this lifetime but that is a conversation for another time!! 🙂
I have been trying to use up what’s in my freezer and I happen to have a package of frozen pie crusts. This recipe uses a frozen pie crust so it was perfect! It is super easy to whip up with only a handful of ingredients, mix, pour and bake. Who wouldn’t love a big, warm, chocolate chip cookie pie with ice cream for dessert!
I could also make it ahead of time and then throw it back in the oven on low to reheat before dessert time. It was super delicious and it will definitely be added to my favorites folder.
Toll House Pie (serves 6 – 8)
- 1/2 cup melted butter, cooled
- 2 eggs, room temperature
- 1/2 cup white sugar
- 1/2 cup brown sugar, not packed
- 1/2 cup flour
- 1 cup chocolate chips
- 1 pie crust, thawed in fridge (not deep dish)
Preheat oven to 325 degrees.
Melt butter and set aside to cool.
Beat eggs with mixer until foamy. Mix in sugars and flour. Slowly add in melted butter and chocolate chips. Stir to combine. Pour into thawed pie crust.
Bake in oven for about 45 minutes. Best served warm with vanilla ice cream! Enjoy!! 🙂
Heat leftovers, if any, in microwave for 15 seconds to remelt chocolate chips.
This pie also freezes beautifully so it’s a great addition to have in your freezer for when guests pop in for a visit.
